SINGH IS KINNG in the direction of Anees Bazmee,

Akshay – Katrina starrer SINGH IS KINNG, directed by Anees Bazmee, is truly going places.

The cast and crew has just returned from Australia after completing 50% shooting of the film and while you’re reading this, the makers have embarked on another major schedule in Mumbai.

Once the Mumbai schedule concludes, the unit will shift to Punjab and for yet another schedule, in Egypt.

“It’s my most accomplished film so far. Working on this film has been an incredible experience,” Vipul Shah sounds elated, “Earlier, I was producing and directing my films, but this time, I am merely playing the producer’s part. I feel enriched by the experience.”

I hope this movie won't be another insult to 20 million Sikhs in a Hindu-dominated society. Bollywood was started by a group of Punjabis and has backlashed on this prominent group of people over time...the discrimination against Sikhs in a so-called secular India, especially in influential Bollywood "entertainment" is truly disgusting. A Hindu and Muslim are directing this film...I hope they have taken advice and adopted cultural accuracy through Sikh involvement (for who knows better about Sikhs than a Sikh himself). The gross discrimination against Sikhs in the name of humour over the past decade has really been intolerable. It's about time a Sikh puts the Bollywood industry in its place about the true Sikh culture, which is a brave yet noble culture. I hope this movie won't be another insensitive insult.
