SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE is at the second highest peak in oscar nominations.














22nd Feb 2009 is a great day for all Indian's as we won the 8 Oscar awards out of 10 nominations for the film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ in 81st Annual Academy Awards held at Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California.This movie “Slumdog Millionaire” has turned out to be the real Golden Hen with the movie bagging The Golden Globe in 2009.
In detailed “Slumdog Millionaire” took the best-picture Academy Award and seven other Oscars on Sunday, including director for Danny Boyle.The movie got the second highest number of Oscar nominations and 8 oscars were recieved by bollywood industry in different categories they are screenplay, cinematography, editing and both music Oscars.A.R. Rahman bagged two of the oscars for Original Score and Best Song for Jai Ho, penned by Gulzar.

































Anil Kapoor celebrates ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ winning the Best Picture award with producer Christian Colson and actor Madhur Mittal.“To win so many nominations is unbelievable and for two Indians to be in the nominations is great news. We absolutely never imagined this,” Kapoor added before the Indian premiere. Christian Colson the producer of the film said,”We had the great privilege of working with a fantastic cast and crew in Mumbai.
coming to the story,it is based on the life of an Indian reality game show contestant.The film shows how he struggles his way past all the odds to become a Millionaire.
