Aishwarya’s new statue at Madame Tussauds

Before her marriage Aishwarya Rai already had a statue at Madame Tussauds. Now post-marriage a new one has been made with a bridal look along with a Mangalsutra for Ash. Mrs. Junior Bachchan is currently stuck up with her film commitments and will unveil her new wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Times Square, New York, early next month.
Currently, Ash is busy with the dubbing of ‘Jodhaa Akbar‘. Besides, she is also shooting for RGV’s ‘Sarkar Raj’ starring herself with Big B and Abhishek Bachchan in Hyderabad.

Very much married, Kuki Singh has many hotels in Pune and a family in Mumbai. Bobby to Sunny Deol - No more tears brother!

Deol Family’s home production ‘Apne’ did not create much magic at the box office but it did give tears to quite a few and received critics appreciation. Now, the Deols are in a mood to make the audience laugh. They are planning to produce a comedy this time with the same director Anil Sharma starring the three Deols of course. Sunny Deol confirms their plans to make the film titled “Masters” to be directed by Anil Sharma.

Pooja Bhatt - Love Guru?

Pooja Bhatt is currently directing ‘Dhokha’. The bold and bindaas Miss Bhatt had to shoot an intimate romantic scene of the lead couple, Muzammil Ibrahim and Aushima Sawhney, in the swimming pool. The newcomers were hesitant. So Pooja Bhatt jumped into the pool to give them the real tips for love making. She pushed Muzammil away and started kissing Aushima to teach them how to give an intimate scene.

Soha Ali Khan in “Tera Kya Hoga Johnny?”

Soha Ali Khan has been signed by Sudhir Mishra for a film representing Mumbai and the plight of street kids. The film is titled “Tera Kya Hoga Johnny?” which is co-written by Mishra, Joydeep Sarkar and writer Pankaj Kapoor. It is about a street kid named Johnny and a girl played by Soha Ali Khan.
Mishra is also working on Devdas and has signed Shiney Ahuja for the lead role. Depending on the dates of the stars he will decide which project he will start first.

Salman Khan refuses to forgive Vivek Oberoi

10th Rajiv Gandhi Awards function proved out to be eventful with the presence of Salman Khan who received an award in the Best Actor Category and Shilpa Shetty who was also present was being honoured with the Best actress award. To add some spice to the event, Vivek Oberoi was also performing at the awards function. Vivek’s performance was the last one before the awards were to be announced and after his performance Vivek grabbed his ears and bowed and mouthed bhai, but Salman just shook his head. Vivek also joined his hands in front of Salman as a sign of asking for his forgiveness. Unfortunately though Vivek’s gesture did not make Salman relent even after some coaxing from Shilpa Shetty. The two actors have a history of not getting along, due to the presence of a Miss World in both their lives then.

‘Dhamaal’ -Sanjay Dutt’s first release after being jailed

‘Dhamaal’ will be Sanjay Dutt’s first release after his imprisonment. Directed by Indra Kumar, this comedy an all male star cast - Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Aashish Chowdhury and Javed Jaffrey.

Director Indra Kumar explains that he has no heroines in the film as the script did not demand one. “I didn’t feel a need for any heroines in the film. As for taking a risk well I feel it might set a trend for other future films. The script is so strong that when you will see the film, you will understand there was no need of heroines between such funny male bonding,” says Kumar

Gauri Khan to make her debut with ‘Om Shanti Om’

The liitle birdie has it that Gauri Khan (Mrs. SRK) will make her debut with her own production ‘Om Shanti Om’.

Both Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri will appear in a sequence which will be part of the end-credit song in ‘Om Shanti Om’ which will feature all the technicians and crew members too.
Farah Khan says, “She was supposed to shoot for me for ‘Main Hoon Na’ too, but last time she ditched me because she was too shy to come in front of the camera, but this time she finally agreed. She said she’s doing it only for me but I am sure her husband had something to do with it since she’s the official producer of the film.”

Preity Zinta whistles and cheers for SRK

Seems veiling is in for celebrities. Mallika Sherawatwore one last year to dodge the media when she was coming out of the airport in Mumbai from a foreign jaunt. Himesh Reshammiyan too very recently ditched his cap for a Burkha to get into Ajmer Sharif Durgah.

Now, it is pretty Preity Zinta who wore it on the Independence Day to slip unnoticed into Bandra cinema hall to whistle and cheer for SRK in ‘Chak De India’.
Preity tells the story, “I could have seen the movie in the safety and comfort of a multiplex, but to gauge the reaction of the audience, I had to sit among the masses. I went along with my mom and cousin, hidden in a burkha, and because nobody could see me, I was at my buoyant best!”
According to the vivacious actress, in her disguise, she was able to scream, whistle and cheer along with the audience for SRK and his team of women hockey players in the movie.

Is Shilpa Shetty on the Bond way?

With Shilpa Shetty rising higher in the popularity charts both India and abroad, offers are rightly pouring in for various television deals both the U.K. and U.S.

The latest buzz is that Miss Shetty may be the next bond girl in the forthcoming James Bond sequel playing the lead opposite Daniel Crag. According to reports, the dusky beauty has topped several opinion polls across the Internet over her eligibility for the role of Daniel’s love interest. She is also due to appear in “Miss Bollywood,” a musical set to open in London in September.
Shetty’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar has already indicated that the lady is willing to accept the offer if it comes her way.

Ferena Wazier - A new wonder

After ‘Love has No Language’ and ‘Pink Panther’ Celina Jaitley has surely taken a step again that is bound to make her stand out. After almost 24 years, the superstars of yesteryears – Dharmendra and Hema Malini may share screen space again! The duo might be seen together in Pritish Nandy’s upcoming flick Hum Aise Hi. An out-and-out comedy, the film will be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.

Hema Malini and Dharmendra were reckoned as the most romantic couple of their times. Last seen in Kamal Amrohi's Razia Sultan in 1983, the two have worked in 26 films together. Only after Hema gave birth to their first child Esha, Dharmendra decided that he will not work with Hema anymore. But with daughter Esha all grown up and well-footed in the industry, Hema was yearning to work with Dharmendra again.

So, when the script of Hum Aise Hi was narrated to Hema, she was more than willing to be a part of it. Then, Mahesh Manjrekar went to meet Dharamji. He liked the role, but when he learned that Hemaji would play the role of his wife, he was somewhat hesitant about accepting the offer.

As the buzz has it, Mahesh has convinced Dharmendra to play the role with Hema, and the two will soon be seen together. Bipasha Basu will also be seen in the film. Mahesh is also trying to rope in John Abraham. But the cast is yet to be finalized.

Hum Aise Hi is a story about a middle class Maharastrian mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. It will go on floors soon after the team gets a nod from Dharmendra.

While on Ashtavinayak, the company is also starting a film with Sanjay Gadhvi [DHOOM, DHOOM 2], which is titled KIDNAP. Sanjay Dutt will head the cast of the film, while talks are on with several young actors, including Aamir Khan’s nephew, for the other important role.

That’s not all, Ashtavinayak has also acquired the world rights of Shyam Bajaj’s forthcoming three films -- THE TRAIN, AGAR and JAI-VEERU. Besides, they have also acquired the Mumbai distribution rights of Firoz A. Nadiadwala’s FOOL & FINA

Bipasha joins hands with Jump Games to display skiing skills

India's premier games publishing company Jump Games has announced their association with the Bollywood celebrity Bipasha Basu.

Jump Games signed a two-year exclusive worldwide contract with Bipasha to create and distribute a series of mobile game titles based on the glamorous actor. The first game based on Bipasha titled ''Bipasha Basu Jet Ski Champ'' will soon be launched on all leading networks, a press release here said.

In this game, she will be seen as a master Jet Ski rider, challenging the world's best.

Apart from this game, there are two other titles in the pipeline, which will feature Bipasha in completely different avatars. One will be a casual title based on the popular urban sport of bowling. The second title will have Bipasha playing a sci-fi princess all set to save the planet from galactic enemies.

Jump Games CEO Salil Bhargava said in the release, ''Bipasha is one of the most successful celebrity brands today and her personality lends itself wonderfully to games.'' About her association with Jump Games, Bipasha said, ''This is something really novel for me and I'm looking forward to a fruitful gaming association with Jump Games.
