Shahrukh Khan's is awarded the Entertainment Business Leader of the Year for his efforts in promoting his production Om Shanti Om at various tv channels and cricketing events may have drawn flak from certain sections of the media and the cricket board, but the promotion strategy worked for the film at the box office and CNBC-TV18 awarded him succesfully producing and marketing the film. The award was conferred last week.
Aditya Vikram Birla was also posthumously bestowed the Hall of Fame Award at the event titled 'India Business Leader Awards 2007'.
External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani were among the other honorees.
