History is being created in Bollywood right now. Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting the mother of all item songs for Rakesh Roshan’s Krazzy 4 even as Hrithik is getting ready to shoot the same song in mid-February.
Says Hrithik, “Shah Rukh, whose association with my dad goes back to King Uncle and Koila , is the portrait of graciousness. He’s shooting for my dad’s film in Mumbai. When my knee is recovered, I’ll be performing the same song.”
Shah Rukh’s version will be part of the film whereas Hrithik’s will be used only for promotional purposes. “While I’m doing this for my home production, Shah Rukh is going out of his way for us. It just shows how much solidarity actually exists in the industry,” adds Hrithik.
Shah Rukh and Hrithik dancing to the same tune would give rise to comparisons between the two superstars. Hrithik thinks such comparisons can be avoided. “We’ll bring our own body language and style into it. Besides, Shah Rukh doesn’t need to dance, I do,” says the actor in handsome tribute to the Bollywood Badshah.
This, incidentally, is Hrithik’s first item song and Shah Rukh’s second; he had earlier performed for buddy Karan Johar’s Kaal. According to Hrithik, the song composed by his uncle Rajesh Roshan and sung by Vishal (of Vishal-Shekhar) is an amazing dance track. It is choreographed by Ahmed Khan. “I’m sure Shah Rukh and I are going to have fun performing this number,” says Hrithik.

After Ash and Bipasha's hot and sizzling act in Dhoom 2, another Bollywood babe is getting ready to sizzle and set the screen on fire with her dare to bare act. And this time it's Bebo, she's unstoppable and how! For the first time, the Kapoor girl is getting ready to 'sizzle', 'fizzle' and 'rocked' in her new sexy avatar.
Any guesses what is it? Well, guys, hold your breath... our sources from Greece where Kareena is currently shooting with her boyfriend Saif for Yash Chopra's Tashan reveals that say recently she did a shot a scene in a bikini.
"The scene was kept under wraps and not many were aware of it. But Kareena was preparing for it for months end. She was on a special diet and power yoga to lose weight. And the result was a new sexy Kareena. When she appeared wearing the bikini, jaws dropped on the sets," says a unit member from Greece.
Yes, she finally does it- the act which almost all the top Bollywood heroines have done. Kareena Kapoor dons a bikini for Yashraj Films’ ‘Tashan’ which has her off-screen love Saif Ali Khan pairing opposite her. The scene, shot in Greece, was kept under wraps and not many were aware of it. But Kareena was preparing for it for months end. She was on a special diet and power yoga to lose weight.

All the efforts have given their results and reportedly, when Kareena appeared wearing the bikini, jaws dropped on the sets. As for her new beau, Saif, he was cool about it and was happy for Kareena, as she has never looked so sexy and hot. The single shot that shows Kareena in her bikini coming out of a swimming pool is going to be the main USP of the film.

Kareena Kapoor has recently been looking very slim and slender. The hot Bollywood actress has turned vegetarian and has been vigorously working out for the past few months. The results are quite visible with the actress turning into a Sex Bomb with her new slim look. The actress has also stated that she religiously

Kareena Kapoor as Female lead role Beside Salman Khan in Mr & Mrs.Khan

Once again we can see Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan side by side in Mr. and Mrs. Khan.
Sohail Khan’s next production ‘Mr. & Mrs. Khanna’ has finally settled with Kareena Kapoor as the female lead opposite Salman Khan. The film to be directed by debutant Prem Soni plans to follow the current trend of Bollywood where a host of big stars do cameos out of their mutual friendship.
The little birdie informs that SRK has agreed to do a cameo for the film owing to his friendship with Sallu Bhai. Sohail is also hoping that Salman will be able to help him get Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra and even newcomer Deepika for cameo roles in the film. The shooting for the film is supposed to begin some time in March this year.
Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor have finally broken the ice between them and will now be seen together in the movie Mr & Mrs Khanna. Trouble started between the two during the Rockstar Concert in 2006 when Kareena's then boyfriend.
Shahid Kapoor tried to teach Salman a few dance steps which did not go down well with the actor owing to his seniority. Kareena who was mad in love then sided with her man. Salman was so offended that he pulled out of a special appearance in the Shahid Kareena starer Milenge Milenge.

The incident was amazing at shooting :Sonali Kulkarni

Sonali Kulkarni scene required her to interview a worker and ask of her plight, when a group of hoodlums force them to abandon the interview and get out of there.
While the shot was in progress, one of the actual rice field owners came up and asked the unit to leave the place. In spite of being told that the unit had got the necessary permissions, the owner wouldn’t give up and insisted they get out of there.
This Maharashtrian mulgi is doing well for herself in Bollywod which means her stars in the film world are bright after Mission Kashmir and Dil chahta hai. She's being noticed by filmmakers and given roles she's pleased to essay. Here she traces her journey into filmdom.
The director used his behaviour as a reference point, and asked his actors to behave the way the rice field owner was for the shot. Sonali found the incident pretty amusing. “It was uncanny,” she told us. It happens only in India!
The passion within me keeps me alive. I feel I should work in as many genres and languages as I can. I want to try new things and reach out to the whole world. I have worked hard to get here. I want to enjoy every moment of it.
I was born and brought up in Pune. I went to Abhinav Vidyalaya and was a fairly good student, always scoring 80s and 90s. I come from an academically inclined family - my dad is an engineer and my brothers are academically brilliant. I wanted to study in Ferguson College. I majored in Political Science from there and even got a scholarship in Marathi literature.
Stranger is about the emotional turmoil, mind games and a shockingly devious plot that forms the crux of the emotional thriller starring Jimmy Shergill, Kay Kay Menon, Nandana Sen and Sonali Kulkarni.

Actor-turned-director Aamir Khan Tired and badly needs off Relif.

Bollywood actor-turned-director Aamir Khan, whose directorial debut "Taare Zameen Par" has become a box-office hit, says that he is extremely tired and badly needs to unwind himself.
"My God! The past few months have been quite a ride. And the last month the most exciting, nerve racking, exhausting, rejuvenating, draining, enriching. Am I ever going to recover?" Aamir noted in his blog at www.aamirkhan.com this week.
"I feel like I've been stuffed into a washing machine, which doesn't have an off button. After this I really need to be put out to dry in the sun and left alone. But no such luck. I start shooting for 'Ghajini' on Jan 22," he penned.
"First things first... I have just smoked my last cigarette before sending this post. Yes, I have finally kicked the bad habit! I know I know I can already hear all of you all scream and shout. I was supposed to give up on Dec 31. But I didn't (which is one of the reasons I was avoiding posting).
"Second step: get back to sleeping early. Third: work out religiously.Fourth: get back on my healthy diet. Fifth: just stick to the above four for a while before taking the fifth step," he explained.
And while the actor shoots for "Ghajini" his to-do list includes: Work on the DVD of 'Taare...', work on the release plan of 'Jaane Tu...', Aamir Khan Production's next release, supervise preparations on 'Delhi Belly,' which starts shoot in March.
"Start preparation work on the other one that Aamir Khan Production is producing later this year yet untitled. Make innovations and progress on this site. Clean my study and my cupboard. So much junk has piled up in my rooms. Everyday I look at the mess and promise myself I'll get down to it at some point."
"In the meantime let us celebrate India's win over Australia. What a glorious win! Sweet and well deserved. We would have won the earlier test as well had it not been for remarkably bad luck with the umpiring.
"The victory is the more satisfying because we beat a team, which is unfortunately very arrogant and decidedly badly behaved on the cricket field. Incidentally, Aamir, a more-than-decent tennis player and admirer of Swiss tennis player Roger Federer, said that cricketers must take a lesson from tennis players.
"My sincere apologies to any fans of Australian cricket but I fail to understand why arguably the best team in the world has to behave so badly on the field. Or why this team feels the need to use excessively aggressive heckling to try and win a match. Can't they just play better?"
"I don't see Federer or (Andy) Roddick misbehaving with each other or anyone. I wish the Indian team didn't get influenced by the childish display and respond in kind. We should just quietly play better and win... or lose, as the case may be. But play with dignity."

Bollywood's Sexy and Vaterian Actress Zeenat Aman
It may sound strange but the 1970s sex symbol and fashion icon Zeenat Aman is a little conventional when it comes to having children. She opted for marriage when she was at the top.
"To me marriage was imperative for motherhood. In a society, I could never impose my own morality on my children. I think it's very wrong to be an unwed mother. You give your child the stigma of illegitimacy," Zeenat told IANSn in an interview.
"I desperately wanted to be a mother. I had no siblings. I was the only child. After 15 years in the movie business, I was ready to have my own family. And to have a family, you have to be married," the actress said.
The lissom Zeenat made a faltering start with "Hare Rama Hare Krishna" and later became the oomph girl of Bollywood with her skin show on screen.
"Her life is full. I'm so happy for the gift of each day. When I walk into the house, my dogs bathe me in such a warm welcome. That'd all I need."
Why isn't she seen on screen more often? "Honestly, I'm not offered anything substantial. The past years of my life have been devoted to my two sons. But now that they're growing up, I'm open to appropriate roles. But nobody is knocking my door down."
However, she is happy with her two sons Azaan, who is 21 and studying direction in Britain, and Zahaan, 17.
Entire nation continues to have a fans of me It's such a wonderful thing to hear, thank you very much Honestly, I have not been offered anything substantial. The past years of my life have been devoted to my two sons.
I've been so immersed in the task of being a single parent that I haven't really given anything else a serious thought. Raising my sons has been my only priority. But now that they're growing up, I'm open to roles. But nobody is knocking my door down (laughs heartily)

Importance of our awards is Credibility : Ekta

Credibility of celebrities who give away the first-ever awards of Balaji Telefilms on Feb 1 is important for its head Ekta Kapoor. That is why she has requested Shah Rukh Khan to perform at the gala event.
"We wanted people with a name and reputation to give these awards. For our awards, credibility is most important. And I want that quality to be attached even to those who give awards. Then there's the glamour and flamboyance," Ekta told IANS.
The show's highlights are Lots of performances by the biggies including Shah Rukh Khan who's the biggest of them all. Then there's Lara Dutta performing with Jay Bhanushali and a few other TV stars. We wanted the TV and film stars to co-exist on the same stage. Then the actors from my brother Tusshar's starrer "Shootout At Lokhandwala" will also perform.
The awards are credible and we've tried to make sure that the awards are given by people who matter to the entertainment industry. We wanted people with a name and reputation to give these awards. For our awards, credibility is the most important. And I want that quality to be attached even to those who give awards.
Then there's the glamour and flamboyance. My mother has made sure we've the best of the film industry at the function. But you never know until the 'D' day who will be there.
The grand finale will have Shah Rukh Khan performing with 11 girls. We're very fortunate to have him on our show. He agreed to be on the show because our families have known one another. I've known his wife Gauri for years. That helped. Also the Moranis (Morani brothers of Cineyug) spoke to him.
Most important of all, Shah Rukh doesn't look down on television. He started on television and has constantly been part of the medium right up to KBC. When we approached him, he knew the Balaji banner would ensure him a proper platform.
It's been a whole new experience. My mother has been working without sleep. She and my secretary Chloe have put in more than anyone else. I don't care if people criticise the awards. I've lived with criticism. But for my mother's sake, I want the awards function to work. I know how much it means to her.

Bollywood actresses Prefering action-oriented roles.
Deepika told IANS that"The trend of more heroines taking up action roles itself shows that with the evolution of the Hindi film industry, women are getting to do more in films than just dance around trees,"
Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif or Koena Mitra, heroines are no longer content with just dancing around trees or singing in the rain. Instead, they are in a bid to compete with action heroes.
Said actor Ajay Devgan: "Heroines are as strong as heroes. Deepika is all set to give a heady rush of adrenaline to audiences with action scenes in Nikhil Advani's "Chandni Chowk To China" opposite Akshay Kumar.
Viewers will also soon see Priyanka Chopra doing heavy-duty action in "Love Story 2050", Aishwarya swinging the sword in the historical epic "Jodhaa-Akbar" . Koena playing a superwoman in "Karna".
Sushmita Sen gave an action packed performance in "Samay" and Esha Deol's and Aishwarya's racy acts proved a crowd puller for "Dhoom" and "Dhoom 2" respectively.
Also, Priyanka and Soha Ali Khan had action scenes in "Krrish" and "Khoya Khoya Chand" respectively, while Esha, Dia Mirza and Shamita Shetty did some stunts in "Cash".
Commenting on the trend, Amrita Rao said: "I would love to do an action flick. In fact I find myself fortunate that I entered the film industry during a phase when actresses are doing so much and have longer terms.
However, in the 1930s and 40s, Bollywood heroines did have important roles in action films. Indian cinema at that time saw Mary Evans, fondly called Fearless Nadia, tossing the myth of the docile heroine into air.
Riding a horse with a whip in hand, fencing with villains atop running trains, swinging from chandeliers and doing stunts without resorting to stuntmen, Nadia's films "Hunterwali", "Pahadi Kanya", "Miss Frontier Mail", "Lutaru Lalna", "Punjab Mail", "Diamond Queen", "Bombaiwali, Jungle Princess" and "Hunterwali ki Beti" ran houseful.
Director and actor Rajat Kapoor said: "It is nothing new. After every 20 years, trends comes back. According to me, today the trend of actresses doing more action in films is more related to fitness.
"It is no doubt great but as far as the ornamental role of women is concerned I feel no progress is happening".

3) His Introduction in Mohabbatein as Narayan Shankar.
Son of well known poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan. He has a brother named Ajitabh Bachchan . He completed his education from Uttar Pradesh and moved to Bombay to find work as a film star, in vain though, as film-makers preferred someone with a fairer skin, and he was not quite fair enough. But they did use one of his other assets - his deep baritone voice - which was used for narration and background commentary. He was successful in being cast in Saat Hindustani. He got his break in Bollywood after a letter of introduction from the then Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi, as he was a friend of her son Rajiv Gandhi.
This is how Amitabh made an entry in Bollywood, starting with Zanjeer, co-starred with his future wife-to-be Jaya Bhaduri, and since then there has been no looking back. He married Jaya Bhaduri, an actress in her own rights, he has two kids, Shweta and Abhishek. Shweta has been married, lives a non-filmy life and has a child. Being friends with Rajiv Gandhi, got him to decide to run for seat in the Congress from his hometown but had to leave midterm because of controversies, particularly after Rajiv and he were implicated in the now infamous "Bofors" case along with the U.K. based Hinduja Brothers
Amitabh Bachan has appeared in over 130 films, many of them, particularly those from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, were huge hits. Every hit, bringing him closer to the masses. Because he portrayed the Man from every walk of life. The honest and the bold Police officer, the shy Lover, the angry and disappointed Youth, the Mine worker, the Singer, the Porter, the Waiter, the freedom fighter, the Politician fighting against corruption, and the list is endless. He was the people's own representative. Their Messiah.
This became evident after his legendary accident during the filming of the movie, "Coolie". He had almost bid farewell to the mortal world, if not for the wishes and prayers of the millions of those masses. Many, who actually went through physical penance, for the recovery of their Hero. It was as if their life had come to a standstill, till he emerged, out of his Coma.
He had gone into hibernation from films for a few years when he ventured into politics, to lend support to his friend, Rajiv Gandhi. Amitabh Bachan fought and won the election for the Parliament from his hometown, Allahabad in 1984, but within a short span of time he had to 'call it quits', due to some bitter experiences. After this, the legend sported a beard, flaunted his grey hair and floated his company ABCL. Not finding much success in that and on the contrary, incurring huge losses, he finally returned to the silver screen. During this period, he did his best in some not so successful films, but his mighty comeback was with the Indian version of the hit BBC show, "Millionaire", "Kaun Banega Crorepati" in Star Plus. This show not just proved the veteran's skills of being a unique and fabulous host, but also brought him back to the hearts of his people. This time, even coser. To their living room. The Big B was back with a Big Bang. Many such shows followed in the rival channels, but none could even get close to the show of the King. KBC had become a part of people's lifestyle.Their routine for four days a week. Where else would they get more time with to spend time with the star and if persistent, some even got to be at the show sitting face to face, with 'their' Amitabh, in flesh and blood.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan in Manali full snow shooting for "Shoe Bite".

Manali (Himachal Pradesh),Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is presently in this picturesque tourist resort shooting for Sujit Sircar's "Shoe Bite". Bachchan arrived here late Tuesday by road from Chandigarh, as his plane could not land due to bad weather in Kullu Monday.
We have been providing you exclusive news about megastar Amitabh Bachchan's latest project, being produced by a top corporate house, based mainly in Himachal Pradesh. And here's more in the same series!
As the weather has somewhat improved in Kullu-Manali, the makers have decided to stick to the original schedule, which consisted of a week's shooting in Manali and later in the HP capital, Shimla.
In fact the shooting of the Shoojit Sircar (YAHAAN fame) directed film, SHOEBITE (working title), commenced in Manali on Monday itself. On the first day, Amitabh Bachchan's duplicate shot a few sequences on the banks of the Beas River, at a place called Patlikuhal, 15 miles before Manali.
It was rather amusing to see a lot of tourists as well as locals confusing Bachchan's duplicate with the original! And soon a huge crowd gathered at the site of the shooting location.
While on the original, Amitabh Bachchan was expected in Manali on Monday, but stayed back in Chandigarh for a day. He arrived in Manali on Tuesday and checked in at the Span Resorts, which is nearer to the shooting location, instead of Holiday Inn. As per the manager of the resort, Bachchan's room has been booked till 26th January (Republic Day) and after that he will proceed to Shimla.
The resort town of Manali received heavy snowfall this year and sources said Sircar has short-listed a host of locations here to shoot for the film. Actor Diya Mirza is also joining the unit in a couple of days, the sources said.
According to hotel sources, Bachchan is scheduled to stay for five days in and around Manali and then move to the Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla, 280 km away, for more shooting of the same film.

Amisha Patel has reportedly broken off from her boyfriend Vikram Bhatt

Amisha Patel has reportedly broken off from her longtime boyfriend Vikram Bhatt . The split happened last month because of reasons not clearly known.
Amisha Patel (born 9 June ) is an Indian actress who works in Bollywood movies. She was born in Mumbai. Film star Amisha Patel would not have been involved in the ugly fracas at the Sahar airport recently had she been a little more aware of her illustrious heritage.
Her grandmother is Sushila Gokhale Patel, who was a leading figure in the progressive movement in the sixties and a handicraft artiste. She is known for her portrayal of the history of the freedom struggle through hand-made doll-sized figures, now part of the museum Mani Bhavan.
But if rumours are to be believed, there is a new man in Amisha’s life. He is London-based businessman, Kanav Puri, whom Amisha met at a function in Delhi. It was Amisha’s growing closeness to Kanav that reportedly created the rift in her four-year-long relationship with Vikram. Amisha has moved out of Vikram’s Andheri residence and is learnt to be staying with a friend nowadays. This split between Amisha and Vikram has made her estranged parents very happy.

They never approved of Amisha’s relation with Bhatt. As for Amisha, her Bollywood career is presently on the rise again. She is working in director Kunal Kohli’s next film along with Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee .

Bollywood actors are paying most of their money on taxes

Bollywood actors are paying most of their money on taxes. It is because of them that so much of money is going into our treasury and that is really good for us. But wonder if the government is making good use of it.
Here is a list of our top Bollywood tax payers.
Top individual advance income taxpayers in Bollywood of 2007-2008 till December 31.
Shah Rukh Khan-27 Rs crore:Om Shanti Om and Chak De India, besides money earned from advertisements have enabled him to contribute so much.
Akshay Kumar- Rs 7 crore:Consecutive hits like Bhool Bhulaiya and Welcome have really added to the stunt man’s purse.
Abhishek Bachchan- Rs 3.7 crore Not many releases this year caused him to pay so less this time. Also, the man was busy with his newly wedded wife.

Aamir Khan-Rs 3 crore: Last year he paid around 6 crore. This time it has become half the amount. Tax collectors however, are rejoicing with Taare Zameen Par’s success. TZP has been a hit at the box office which is real good news for the treasuery.
Himesh Reshammiya-Rs 2.5 crore: With more singing contracts in hand even his Tax payment has increased.
Amitabh Bachan :-Rs 1.8 crore:Well this is actually surprising. Big B seems to be in almost all the movies and he is paying so less. Tax officials please look nto the matter.
Working hard and shedding out in crores is painful sometimes especially for these actors.
Everything has its price, including stardom.

Director Roy looking to release an Hindi version of a Bengali film
Director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury is looking to release an Hindi version of his debut Bengali film “Anuranan” this Friday.
Roy told IANS that“Although ‘Anuranan’ is a culture-specific film, the theme is universal. And why should anyone have any objection to a Bengali film getting a national market? I think the only other Bengali film to have made this transition is Rituparno Ghosh’s ‘Chokher Bali’,” .
Rahul Bose and Rituparna Sengupta play a couple that moves back to Kolkata after living in London for a few years. Here they meet Rajat Kapoor and Raima Sen and they become friends. It is the lives of these four friends that create a resonance, a chord that echoes through their present and future.
“Yes it was,” admits the director. “But the theatrical and DVD releases were only in Bengali. The dubbing into Hindi was done with my active participation. In fact, linguistically I had say the Hindi version is more authentic than Bengali.
“In Bengali, Rajat Kapoor’s voice was dubbed by another artiste. In Hindi, all the four major artistes - Rahul, Raima, Rituparna and Rajat - have dubbed their lines personally. So I had say I welcome this chance to take my film to a larger audience.”

Govinda slapped an alleged trespasser on the sets
Govinda who is a well known actor in bollywood showed off fists of fury on Wednesday afternoon when he slapped an alleged trespasser on the sets of his new film Money Hai To Honey Hai in Mumbai.
While addressing a press conference on the sets of the film ,govinda slapped the onlooker in full view of the cameras. However, Govinda said he had a good reason for his behaviour.“I had been noticing him for a long time and saw him misbehaving with other artists. When I questioned him he very nonchalantly said he is an outsider. So, then he should be outside,” Govinda said.
According to the actor the person in question was aimlessly roaming on the sets and kept staring at the actor.

Eklavya is out of the race
There is a sad news for Indian movie lovers as Eklavya is out of the race from the ‘Best Foreign Language Films’ category.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Eklavya -The Royal Guard, is out of the race which was India’s official entry to the Oscars this year.

The nine films that made it in the final list include The Counterfeiters (Austria), The Year My Parents Went on Vacation (Brazil), Mongol (Kazakhstan), The Trap (Serbia), Days of Darkness (Canada), Beaufort (Israel), The Unknown Woman (Italy) , Katyn (Poland) and 12 (Russia).
For starters, the Amitabh Bachchan-Sanjay Dutt starrer Eklavya was mired in controversy ever since it was declared as India’s entry to the prestigious Oscars. So, much so that director Bhavna Talwar, who considered her film Dharm as one of the better contenders for the award, went on to claim that the jury was biased in its selection. She even went up to the extent of going to the court regarding the issue.

Bollywood Smarty Salman Khan went for inaguration of his Wax in Madame Tussad Museum.

Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan left for London, early Monday morning, for the unveiling of his wax replica at the prestigious Madame Tussad museum. Bollywood's inimitable and irrepressible bad boy, the actor’s wax figure is worth £ 200,000 (roughly Rs 1.62 crore). He was accompanied by his family, including girlfriend Katrina Kaif.
Those who have seen the statue say that Salman’s wax figure, which took 12 weeks and five artistes to create, has a remarkable resemblance to him. A special wax and silicon-like materials have been used to give the macho star’s six-pack abs and biceps a realistic look. The sculptors worked overtime to develop the accurate shape and size. However, to the disappointment of his fans, the Salman’s wax replica will not be showcased bare-chested.
Madame Tussaud officials also revealed the brawny star’s wax work will be placed in the New Bollywood area along with three other Bollywood superstars- veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, Sallu’s ex flame Aishwarya Rai and his close friend Shah Rukh Khan.
During a recent interview Salman, in his characteristic manner, took a light hearted collective dig at other Bollywood stars who were honored with a wax replica before him. "After Mahatma Gandhi and Indira Gandhi, I think I am the third most deserving in the museum," he joked.
Khan beat nine other Indian stars, including Madhuri Dixit and Abhishek Bachchan, to be immortalised in wax after a public poll was conducted in August last year. Over 10,000 votes were received, and Salman emerged the clear winner.
Salman Khan, who debuted almost two decades back in the runaway hit ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ has always a sizeable fan following in the UK .Salman will not be part of the interactive section of the museum like Brad Pitt. Salman has been authorised by the jail authorities to travel to London to unveil his wax statue on January 14.
Despite his conterversies and irrespective of hits and flops, Salman Khan has managed to remain an undisputed star amongst the top ranking Bollywood heroes. One of Bollywood’s biggest draw, his films still command the biggest box-office openings, along with Shah Rukh and Akshay Kumar.
His forthcoming projects include first timer Rimi Jaffery’s comic caper ‘God tussi great ho’, Prabhu Deva’s ‘Pokkiri’ and Subhas Ghai’s musical extravagenca ‘Main Yuvraaj’. With yet another feather added in his cap, the 42 year old’s 2008 couldn’t have started on a better note.
The ‘bindaas’ star, with an attitude of his own who rests in the hearts of millions worldwide is now to be placed in Madame Tussauds. Yes, we are talking about Salman’s wax statute which will be showcased in London from this month.
A team from London had come down to Mumbai to take Salman’s measurements to make his wax replica. IndiaFM brings you the exclusive pictures of the Madame Tussauds team taking Salman’s measurements for the wax statute.
In a poll conducted by the internationally renouned museum, entertainment magazine Ikonz and BBC Asian Network, Salman beat nine other Indian stars including Abhishek Bachchan [Images] and Madhuri Dixit [Images].
Though officials are yet to declare the number of votes which each of the stars have garnered, they mentioned that it was a landslide victory for Salman. His nearest competitor was Abhishek.
Salman will now join the coterie of Amitabh Bachchan [Images], Aishwarya Rai [Images] Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan [Image]
Salman Khan also known as ‘Sallu’ won hands down amongst other candidates like Abhishek, Madhuri, etc. for the wax statute as per the poll conducted by Madame Tussauds. Salman’s light brown eyes, which highlight his mischievous and mysterious profile, were an easy match. The excited Salman was all geared up during the making process.

Pooja Bhatt's up Coming Movie Lohore's Heera Mandi.

POOJA BHATT has been highly engrossed on the pre-production of her next film based on Lahore’s Heera Mandi. Heera Mandi – Lahore’s red light area has also featured in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s topics of interest.Pooja has been racing it out to complete her film Kajraa Re much ahead of Bhansali.
Pooja’s Kajraa Re has Himesh Reshammiya in the lead and is the story of a boy who falls for a girl from Morocco whose past traverses through Lahore’s Heera Mandi. On the other hand, Bhansali’s film is rumoured to have Rani Mukherjee in the lead. But Pooja seems confident about her film as she is aware of the average amount of time Bhansali takes for every film of his.
We keep saying the West is obsessed with sex. The fact is that we in India are equally obsessed with it. But we also have a schizophrenic attitude to it. What did Khushboo do after all?
That this ambitious, enterprising young woman has grown and matured in stature as well as histrionics, is a indisputable fact. At the same time, Bhatt (inspired by ‘daddy’ Mahesh?) has proved beyond doubt that she knows the intricacies of filmmaking and is more than capable of getting her movie message across to the viewers — however harsh and hard as it may be.
A journalist asked her a question about pre-marital sex and she said if people were doing it, then they should do it safely. What is so offensive about that? Khushboo was actually talking about safe sex. Isn’t that what all the government hoardings on AIDS say?
It’s one thing if some people don’t think much of her opinion, but they shouldn’t feel superior about their own. It’s ridiculous the way this issue has been blown out of proportion. I want to ask those well-respected
As Bhansali is away directing an opera in Paris and will begin much later this year, Pooja is all out speeding up on the film. Pooja plans to release her film much before Bhansali begins. Now that’s what competition is all about.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's first film after her marriage Jodhaa-Akbar to be relesed soon.

The supremely beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will now be seen as the queen of Hindustan Jodhaa Bai in Ashutosh Gowarikar's much-awaited film Jodhaa-Akbar due for release soon. During an exclusive tete-te-tete the glamour girl of Bollywood talked about her experiences while shooting for Jodhaa-Akbar, her life and more. Here are the excerpts.
Not only Aishwarya, but her fans and movie goers across India are waiting with bated breaths to see how the lady fares in her first film after her marriage to Abhishek Bachchan. The entire industry too is waiting eagerly.
It"s an interesting issue. Shooting of the film began before my marriage, took place during my marriage and continued afterwards too. As far as I am concerned, Jodhaa-Akbar includes all the aspects and time of my life that are closely related to my marriage.
Well, I will not claim that I have done justice to Jodhaa Bai"s character, but I am sure that I have done justice to the character of Jodhaa Bai as etched out by Ashutosh. I must say that it is a special quality in me that I always try and do justice to all the characters I play. However, it is true that this will be my first film to be released after marriage and hence it is of great importance to me.
In fact, people as well as the media have asked me time and again as to why I take so much time for make-up. I want to tell them that they should try and understand the pressure on us. Even before the actual job of acting begins, artistes have to spend hours sitting quietly while the make-up is done.
Although this in itself requires a lot of patience and endurance, no one realizes this as it is all behind the camera. To be precise, make-up is not only necessary to make one look more beautiful, but also important for the toning of the skin and face muscles. Abhishek is aware of this and hence he regards me for this quality of mine.
Earlier too, I have portrayed a number of characters about whom people and I have only read in books. But, while portraying these characters I have always given importance to what my director wants to depict on the cellulofid and I have done full justice every time. I have never tried to interpret the characters apart from the director"s point of view.

Neha Dhupia's lot of Expectations from this year Projects on Hand.

NEHA DHUPIA had enough releases in 2007 and she has even more to expect from 2008. 2007 saw her in an item number in ‘Nehle Pe Dehla’, with substantial roles in ‘Delhi Hieghts’, ‘Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local’, ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’, ‘Dus Kahaniyan’ and a special appearance in ‘Heyy Babyy’.
Neha was born to Commander Pradip Singh Dhupia, who is in the Indian Navy and mother Manpinder. She has a brother, Hardeep. Born in Cochin, Neha went to Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi and completed her Graduation in History (Hons)from Jesus and Mary College, New Delhi. Neha started her career with a TV serial Rajdhani at the age of 19.
Neha was crowned Miss India Universe in 2002 and competed at Miss Universe 2002, finishing in the top ten.2008 too will see a similar trend for Neha with her ‘Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaa’ hitting the theatres on 18th January. Her next ‘Mithya’ is set for 8th February release which also stars Naseruddin Shah and Vinay Pathak.
Another big venture from Neha to hit theatres on 15th August will be Anees Bazmee’s eagerly awaited ‘Singh is King’ starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Javed Jaffrey, Ranvir Shorey and Om Puri along with Neha.
Directed by Shivam Nair (Ahista Ahista fame), her expected next release is ‘Chala Murari Murder Karne’. This was earlier titled ‘Maharathi’ and also boasts of a heavy weight star cast comprising of Naseruddin Shah, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal and Boman Irani.
The other film to release in this year is a comedy film. The story goes like, For the men the grass looks greener on the other side of fence. This attitude is well captured in this forthcoming comedy film Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama. The story of the film revolves around three married couples - Prem (Ashish Chaudhary) and Khushi (Amrita Arora), Santosh (Rajpal Yadav) and Shanti (Neha Dhupia) and Mr. and Mrs. Khurana (Anupam Kher and Rati Agnihotri).
Santosh is in search of a perfect wife who can be humble and carry all his orders well. He marries to Shanti, a small town girl, and later finds that Shanti is not the one who he had yearned for. The petty differences start popping up and fed up by his wife, Santosh starts day dreaming and imaging other women as his wives.
Ask her whether her fans will accept her in her new ‘fully clad’ avatar, and she immediately retorts. I have already got some great response for Chup Chup Ke, and I’m doing some great films in the coming months too.
I’ve got a film with Naseeruddin Shah where I am paired opposite him; then there’s a film with Sanjay Dutt called Shootout at Lokhandwala; and a film with Jimmy Shergill called Delhi Heights.”
Neha is also busy with her sole female lead role in Saurabh Shukla directed ‘I AM 24’. An Arindam Chaudhri production, the film stars Neha along with Ranvir Shorey, Rajat Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Lilette Dubey, Delnaz Paul and Manjari Phadnis.

Actress KAJOL is very busy with her projects
Kajol seems to be one busy lady these days. The actress who has been busy with her hubby’s U,Me Aur Hum has a great line up of films for the new year.
The actress who has already being signed alongside Shahrukh in Karan Johar’s Mr.Khan has now bagged a role in Hirani’s Idiots.
Kajol embarked in to the tinsel world with her maiden venture that was a launch pad for her co-stars in the film-Shah Rukh Khan and Shilpa Shetty as well. The film was titled 'Baazigar' and was as unconventional as its lead pair. Her arrival spelt sensation and signing her seemed a safe bid to the producers. A couple of films thereafter made fairly good business.

Significantly, her ensuing film with Shah Rukh Khan - 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge' -broke all the earstwhile records, thereby gearing Kajol on to the centre stage to become the number 1 heroine of '96. She won the best actress award from Filmfare for her performance in the film. She signed a string of ventures thereafter.
Rajkumar Hirani’s Idiots which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s Five Point Someone is the story of three IIT students. The film is set to go on floors in the next few months and stars Aamir Khan. Hirani has also approached John Abraham and Saif Ali Khan for other roles in the film.
It has been reported that Kajol has even spoken to Shahrukh about her character. Let’s hope King Khan doesn’t go the Aamir Khan way by suggesting changes in the script.

Anil was obviously very thrilled and immediately agreed that Sonam be paired opposite Hrithik in Rakesh’s next film.

Hrithik gets the maximum birthday greetings in Bollywood

Hrithik Roshan, who has just recovered from a serious knee injury, says he will avoid doing stunts for some time.
he said that "I need to be very careful for a while. No serious stunts and action scenes for a while. My body has served its warning rather effectively. I had no choice but to obey the warning signals. It would be some time before I get back into full-on action scenes,".
Hrithik, who turned 34 last week told IANS that "I pretend it's not a special day. But it never turns out that way," laughed Hrithik.
Apparently, Hrithik gets the maximum birthday greetings in Bollywood.
"I wouldn't know. But, yes, the quantity of love that I receive on this day is overwhelming," laughed Hrithik shyly.
He was up and about from early in the morning.
"I wanted to make sure I answered each one of the greetings personally before Hrehaan gets up."
Alas, Hrithik proposes, Hrehaan disposes. The scion of the Roshan family was up and about claiming Papa's attentions. And Hrithik was happy to give it all.
"The last year I've really had no time for the family. The injury has given me a chance to be at home and spend time with my wife and son."
And how was the birthday celebrated this year?
"Every year I like to do something associated with my work on my birthday. As luck would have it, on the evening before my birthday, it was the launch of my 'Jodhaa-Akbar' music. I loved that.
"It was one of the most well-organised music functions of my career. After that it was friend Ambika Hinduja's engagement party. So we went for that. Then we were home for the rest of the evening."

Sushmita Sen on her directorial debut film Rani Laxmibai
SUSHMITA SEN has decided to make her directorial debut. She is all set to direct her dream project Rani Laxmibai , a period film on the life of the queen. Reportedly her friend, scriptwriter turned director Mudassar Aziz will help her in editing the script.
A Bengali beauty reared in a middle-class suburb of Delhi, now showered with attention of global proportions.Born on November 19, this ambassador of feminine beauty, peace, love, and optimism Sushmita Sen was crowned Miss Universe 1994, the first Miss Universe from India.
It can be recalled that earlier Sushmita wanted this film to be directed by her ex-boyfriend Manav Menon. But things didn’t work out and Sushmita who is quite eager about this film decided to go behind the camera herself.
Sushmita's defense background ensured that she led a nomadic life. Her mother's decision to shift base to Delhi, was to render some permanency in her children's lives, as also to enable her children have proper education.
With an advantageous height, she made her entry into the world of fashion. She did a few fashion shows before she went in for the Femina Miss India pageant. Her decision to join movies was well accepted and Bollywood welcomed her with open arms.
Sushmita made her debut in Dastak in the role of a vulnerable girl being stalked by a psycho. Then Sushmita did a comic role in David Dhawan’s Biwi No.1 and caught movie buff’s attention and picked up some awards. She had a flair for the comedy.
She also did a romantic role opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Bus Itna Sa Khwab Hai. She was seen in a very realistic role in Meghna Gulzar’s directorial debut Filhaal. She has got very rave reviews for her convincing portrayal of the character in the film.Sushmita is intelligent, but it's an intelligence as yet untainted by realism.
When contacted, her spokesperson Krishna Bannerjee was reluctant to talk about the film, “Yes the film will finally roll in early this year.” When quizzed about Sushmita’s directorial debut, she said, “It’s a yes so far. But I can’t talk more on film as we are engaged in a non-disclosure contract. We are going to have an announcement about the film soon.”

I can see a smart and intelligent director in her. She is in fact capable of giving tips to her directors. The kind of suggestions she comes up with are really admiring.Being so confident about Sushmita, Mudassar informs that she is competent enough to make her debut behind the camera.

Audience replay for TZP is an Sad Film.
Is it – really? Just a couple of questions to those who’ve been saying this and repeating it ever so often. Did you cry because it made you sad or because the film’s tender moments touched you? I am up to my ears with people saying Taare Zameen Par is a SAD film. “You cry throughout the film,” they wail. “The film is soooooo nice and the boy is sooooo wonderful but it’s succch a saaad film!”
But the film is about hope, it’s about giving and nurturing and laughing aloud with life, as it offers itself in all its myriad shades. A film which holds its own until the interval without the entry of the hero, who (when he enters) sprinkles sunshine all around him, a hero who makes you laugh and makes you cry (with joy) when he helps his ward realise his potential.
Did you cry because you fell in love with Ishaan Awasthi aka Darsheel Safary – the little dyslexic boy or because you felt happy with what he achieved? Or could it be that tears came unbidden because the film acted as a mirror of your insensitivity as an adult who failed to understand a special child? Why did you cry?
It is a very brave, courageous mainstream film which pulls you in, takes you head on, insists that you take a good hard look at yourselves as parents, guardians, teachers and individuals and not continue to view all the children with the same eye because ‘each child is special’.
TZP celebrates the achievements of these gifted children, who ‘we in all our wisdom’ fail to see as normal ’coz ‘we are more normal than them.’ Can there be a more twisted piece of logic than that? Now, that should make you cry.

Holiday's mood: Salman Khan and girlfriend Katrina Kaif continues.
The actor, who ushered in his 42nd birthday with an extravagant bash at his farm house in Panvel, was accompanied by Katrina’s sister Isabelle and another male friend. The foursome looked completely at ease despite the attention they attracted from other guests and ordered for coffee — Americano (black coffee) and Cappuccino.
SAKMAN KHAN and girlfriend KATRINA KAIF continue to be in a holiday mood. The much-in-love couple dropped in at a Bandra coffee bar in Mumbai earlier this week, while on their way back after Salman’s extended birthday celebrations.
Often known as Bollywood's Bad boy, his knack of walking into trouble has overshadowed people's perception of him as an actor. He may have been featured as the bad guy of the industry several times over. But many-a-common-man claims that this macho hunk has a heart made of pure gold.
Born on December 27, 1965 Salman Khan is the son of the legendary writer Salim Khan, who penned many super-hits in the yesteryear's like Sholay, Deewar, and Don. Salman started his acting carrier in 1988 by doing a supporting role in the movie "Biwi Ho To Aisi".
The following year he came up with his leading role in the box office romantic hit Maine Pyar Kiya (1989). From there he became the heart throb of Indian cinema. Salman, who is a regular at the coffee bar, exchanged greetings with the staffers before settling down for a chat with his friends.
Their conversation veered from holidays to multi-starrer films releasing this year. The actor was discussing his forthcoming films — Yuvraaj and Wanted , when his male friend added that Yuvraaj will be one of the biggest films.
Khan reacted by saying that his films were always talked about, but people hardly watch it. Katrina, who also stars in Yuvraaj, was left amused by her boyfriend’s remarks and assured him that the film will do well.

Celebraties incidents on the eve of Dec-31st
When he got too close, she turned around and slapped him. Koena Mitra was harassed by a stalker moments after she had finished a year-end act at Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai. The guy hurled expletives and crushed her hand when she agreed to shake hands with him!
On New Year’s Eve, at the Bagga beach in Goa, a man tried to molest television actor Kamya Punjabi (Sindoora of Banoo Main Teri Dulhaan) by pinning her down on the beach. The man told her that since he knew that she is a TV star, he wanted to touch her!.After singer Karan Oberoi’s performance on New Year’s Eve at Delhi’s Mehrauli Grounds, a male fan came
rushing to the greenroom, grabbed him by his hair and smooched him! What is pleasantly surprising is that Kolkata till date has not yet had a single report of fans misbehaving with performers during New Year’s Eve or otherwise. When stars descend on earth, Kolkata audience is still much more in control of their rising libido while watching the necklines go down.
Actor Rituparna Sengupta hasn’t yet performed at any New Year bash and has never faced any harassment. "No matter how much I’m offered, I’m determined to spend that time with my family.
While this year I was in Singapore, the year before I was in Santiniketan," says Rituparna, adding, "Celebs have to be careful about the company they choose on the 31st. People can go unreasonably berserk both in Mumbai and Kolkata."
Strangely, Kolkata hardly gets to see Tollywood stars performing on New Year’s Eve. Most hotels don’t find any "novelty" in the idea and hence, the question of harassment doesn’t arise either. Says Namrata Ray, manager, events and entertainment, The Park, "We’ve never done it.
How much our clientele would pay to watch a Tolly star’s performance is suspect." Neha Arya, marketing communications manager, Hyatt Regency, Kolkata, says that since their clientele has both Bengali and non-Bengali
audience, they prefer having singers.
"Instead of Bengali singers, we go for those who belt out Bollywood or Indi-pop numbers," says Arya. Madhumita Pyne, public relations and sales manager, ITC The Sonar, Kolkata, says that star performances haven’t fitted with her hotel’s branding. "Neither Bollywood nor Tollywood stars perform at our functions," she says.

The tattoo artiste at the Hakim Alim’s studio took almost two hours to complete the design and Saif was seen getting restless as he had to report to Yash Raj Studios for dance rehearsals, claims a source.
Later he was seen flaunting his newly-acquired tattoo but was not too keen to talk about it. A source from the Yash Raj Studios, who did not want to be named, says, "Saif was very happy with his tattoo. He was completely at ease with the attention it attracted."
However, Saif was seen making a conscious effort to hide the tattoo under a jacket when he reported at the Mumbai airport recently along with Kareena, claims another source.

Naming clashes between producers Anil Kapoor and Bobby Bedi.

A fight over titles is not a new thing in Bollywood. Many producers have faced problems for having the same title for their films. The latest is that producer BOBBY BEDI will be producing a film called Shortcut . However ANIL KAPOOR'S next production too has the same title.
Anil Kapoor is one of the most popular actors of the Hindi film industry. Starting his film career with Who Saat Din, Anil Kapoor still entertains the Hindi film audience with his performances. Anil Kapoor was born on 24 December 1953 in Chembur, Maharashtra. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. His height is 5'11".He belongs to Hindu religion. He pursued his degree from St. Xaviers College.
According to Ranjeet Kapoor who is the writer and director of Bobby Bedi's film, "Kaleidoscope Entertainment had registered this title three years ago with IMPPA. It was long before Anil Kapoor started the film. When we came to know that Anil Kapoor's next has the similar title, we had a meeting with him.He was surprised to know that, as he too was not aware about the same name. They will receive a notice from IMPPA very soon, as two films cannot have similar titles."
The debut film of Anil was Woh Saat Din. His films Andhar Baahar, Maashal and Shakti did pretty well at the box office as anil co-starred with Dilip Kumar, Jackie Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan respectively. Anil actually got a chance to prove his skill when 'Subhash Ghai', one of the Hollywood's pride, offered him Karma in which Anil's performance won the applause of the industry as well as in Ram Lakhan in which he could dance stunningly to the tunes after that he never seen back as a super star of bollywood .
Anil Kapoor's Shortcut is a comedy that stars Akshaye Khanna, Arshad Warsi and Amrita Rao. It will be directed by Neeraj Vora. While producer Bobby Bedi's Shortcut is a suspense thriller that will be directed by Ranjeet Kapoor.
Speaking about the film Ranjeet says.,"My film has four main characters that will be played by Om Puri, Anupam Kher and Victor Banerjee. There will be a big known actor in my film for which Bobby is in talks with some big stars in Bollywood. There will be two female actresses in the film. For one of the actresses I had spoken to Tara Sharma while Vidya Balan will be apt for the other important female lead character of the film."

Amrita Rao shocking with controversies surrounding her.

AMRITA RAO is in shock at the current spate of controversies surrounding her. Recently a Mumbai tabloid reported that she was spotted with Shahid Kapoor and his family watching a film at a suburban multiplex.
How come people make all this storeis I was celebrating New Year's at home with my cousins. After that I had an early morning flight to catch to Delhi for the promotions of My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves .
Coming from a very well to do, Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin family, this Gemini born (on June 17th) started her modeling career with ‘Fairever’ fairness cream ad but it was the Close-up ad that fetched her recognition.
Within 18 months, she was the face that promoted Major Brands such as Clean & Clear Face Wash, Pantene Hair Wash, Wringly Chewing Gum, Domino's Pizza, Anne French, HMT Watches and a lot of South Indian ads.
But it was after the success of the Cadbury's Perk and the Bru coffee ad that movie offers started pouring in. Having modeled for nearly 35 ads, her decision to act in films didn't come as a surprise.
"Raj Kanwar saw that ad and got in touch with me for Ab Ke Baras opposite Arya Babbar, who was debuting in the film.” She continues, "Since Ab Ke Baras has a reincarnation theme and I get to portray two different characters in the film,I could not have asked for anything better.”
Rajkumar Santoshi approached Amrita after seeing her in a coffee ad but she turned down the film offer since she wanted to concentrate on her studies. Then came Legend of Bhagat Singh with the brief role of playing Bhagat Singh’s fiancĂ© and Amrita agreed.
Besides ‘Legend Of Bhagat Singh’ Amrita Rao was also seen in Ishq Vishq, Masti and Main Hoon Na. Fortunately for her, all the films became were a hit. Her latest release is Deewar with Akshaye Khanna.
The past few weeks I have been on a rollercoaster promoting the film in Ahmedbad, Delhi and other place. I haven't met Shahid for months. The last time I met Shahid was almost two months back when I shot for a promotional campaign for Vivah.
After that I've been touring cities for the promotion of My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves. Where is the time for me to go and watch a film in the theatre in all this mad rush? That too, with Shahid and his family. It is preposterous like how. I wish the person who wrote the story got his facts right this is full kind of rumour on me.
She is also upset that her name is being linked with her Vivah co star Shahid. "Shahid and Kareena's spilt came as a shock to me. I was shooting in Hyderabad for my Telugu film when I heard about their split. After that it was reported that Kareena got upset because I was spotted coming out of Shahid's van. She has always been more than nice to me, so where is this rumour starting from? It is baseless and sick.
First I had to counter that. Now I'm being spotted in some theatre watching a film with Shahid, when I was never actually present! It is blatant misreporting. Shahid is an extremely dignified
and a gentleman to the core.
He has always been a wonderful co star to work with and such baseless stories only make a working relationship uncomfortable. Fortunately for me, Shahid has the grace to laugh these rumours off.
But I have to take a stand because it is utterly ridiculous."Amrita sets the record straight once and for all. Hopefully it will shit all those loose talks coming in.
