Helen had comeback to make her big screen with director Bachpan



Helen who is Best known for her vamp acts and flamboyant dance sequences in Bollywood movies of the 1960s and '70s.Helen is all set comeback with director Rajiv Sharma's Bachpan.

Although Helen has done bit roles in the past - Mohabbatein and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, she will be seen in the lead role of a stern yet adorable Catholic lady in the film.

Director Rajiv Sharma, who has assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Madhur Bhandarkar and worked in capacity of a creative director in Firoz Nadiadwala's production house says, "This has been my dream subject and I have been working for over ten years now.

However, since I was busy assisting Bhansali, Madhur and then with Firoz Nadiadwala, I took time to develop the subject. Now that I am ready, I spoke to Helenji and she loved the script. I do not want to reveal much about the film apart from the fact that Helenji will play the lead role along with Padmini Kolhapure."



Helen's leading man in the film is Tom Alter, and Padmini Kolhapure plays their daughter. The cast also boasts of four child actors who will essay the role of Helen's grandchildren. The plotline revolves around the love-and-hate relationship that Helen shares with her grandchildren.

Rajeev further adds, "Helenji has been very supportive and ever since she has come on board she is very charged and involved with the film."

Talking about Helen's role, scriptwriter Neeru Sharma says, "Helenji plays one of the lead roles in Bachpan. She is a hot-tempered and orthodox lady in the film."
