Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan in Manali full snow shooting for "Shoe Bite".

Manali (Himachal Pradesh),Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is presently in this picturesque tourist resort shooting for Sujit Sircar's "Shoe Bite". Bachchan arrived here late Tuesday by road from Chandigarh, as his plane could not land due to bad weather in Kullu Monday.

We have been providing you exclusive news about megastar Amitabh Bachchan's latest project, being produced by a top corporate house, based mainly in Himachal Pradesh. And here's more in the same series!

As the weather has somewhat improved in Kullu-Manali, the makers have decided to stick to the original schedule, which consisted of a week's shooting in Manali and later in the HP capital, Shimla.

In fact the shooting of the Shoojit Sircar (YAHAAN fame) directed film, SHOEBITE (working title), commenced in Manali on Monday itself. On the first day, Amitabh Bachchan's duplicate shot a few sequences on the banks of the Beas River, at a place called Patlikuhal, 15 miles before Manali.

It was rather amusing to see a lot of tourists as well as locals confusing Bachchan's duplicate with the original! And soon a huge crowd gathered at the site of the shooting location.

While on the original, Amitabh Bachchan was expected in Manali on Monday, but stayed back in Chandigarh for a day. He arrived in Manali on Tuesday and checked in at the Span Resorts, which is nearer to the shooting location, instead of Holiday Inn. As per the manager of the resort, Bachchan's room has been booked till 26th January (Republic Day) and after that he will proceed to Shimla.

The resort town of Manali received heavy snowfall this year and sources said Sircar has short-listed a host of locations here to shoot for the film. Actor Diya Mirza is also joining the unit in a couple of days, the sources said.

According to hotel sources, Bachchan is scheduled to stay for five days in and around Manali and then move to the Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla, 280 km away, for more shooting of the same film.
