Bollywood actors are paying most of their money on taxes

Bollywood actors are paying most of their money on taxes. It is because of them that so much of money is going into our treasury and that is really good for us. But wonder if the government is making good use of it.

Here is a list of our top Bollywood tax payers.

Top individual advance income taxpayers in Bollywood of 2007-2008 till December 31.

Shah Rukh Khan-27 Rs crore:Om Shanti Om and Chak De India, besides money earned from advertisements have enabled him to contribute so much.

Akshay Kumar- Rs 7 crore:Consecutive hits like Bhool Bhulaiya and Welcome have really added to the stunt man’s purse.

Abhishek Bachchan- Rs 3.7 crore Not many releases this year caused him to pay so less this time. Also, the man was busy with his newly wedded wife.

Aamir Khan-Rs 3 crore: Last year he paid around 6 crore. This time it has become half the amount. Tax collectors however, are rejoicing with Taare Zameen Par’s success. TZP has been a hit at the box office which is real good news for the treasuery.

Himesh Reshammiya-Rs 2.5 crore:
With more singing contracts in hand even his Tax payment has increased.

Amitabh Bachan :-Rs 1.8 crore:Well this is actually surprising. Big B seems to be in almost all the movies and he is paying so less. Tax officials please look nto the matter.

Working hard and shedding out in crores is painful sometimes especially for these actors.

Everything has its price, including stardom.

About the film welcome

In Welcome
Uday Shetty (Nana Patekar)
, who accidentally meets the handsome bachelor Rajiv (Akshay Kumar), gets convinced that the latter would be an appropriate match for Sanjana. However, Rajiv’s uncle, Dr. Ghunghroo (Paresh Rawal) disapproves of Uday’s association with a dubious family.,

Uday Shetty, Majnu (Anil Kapoor) and their boss, Sikander (Feroz Khan) are basically three Hong Kong-based serio-comic mobsters, who are keen to get their sister Sanjana (Katrina Kaif) married into a respectable family.

Once the Mumbai schedule concludes, the unit will shift to Punjab and for yet another schedule, in Egypt.

Akshay kumar’s ‘double role’

Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar were busy slogging it out in Filmcity, where they were shooting for Tashan.

"Akshay Kumar is so busy. He's just back from Canada and doing a double shift to clear his backlogs. With his films doing brisk business, he has become Bollywood's busiest star," says a friend of his.

Wonder when he gets time to spend with family.

Looks like Araav is going to demand for ‘double shifts’ too once daddy dearest is done with his professional commitments.

SUNIEL SHETTY opts out of Singh Is Kinng

All were shocked when VIPUL SHAH managed to get the alleged rivals SUNIEL SHETTY and AKSHAY KUMAR together for his film Singh Is Kinng. It may have been a casting coup of sorts, if their rivalry was for real. But Akshay didn’t get along, then why should he co-produce a film like Bhagam Bhaag, or even cast me in it? There’s no problem between us.” However, the majority just refuses to believe this.

Anyway, only recently Shetty, who was initially to be a part of Vipul’s next venture starring Akshay Kumar and KATRINA KAIF, opted out of the film, Shah explains. “We tried coordinating the dates, but unfortunately Suniel is required to be on the sets of his home production venture Mission Istanbul.

We will certainly work together at the next given opportunity.” Apparently, Suniel was to shoot a 25-day long schedule for Singh.. in Gold Coast, Australia. But the actor-producer could not be away from his home production venture, Mission Istanbul for such a long time and had to even resolve some problems in Turkey where the film is being shot. But filmmaker Vipul assures us that getting Akshay and Suniel together in one frame is definitely not mission impossible.

Akshay Kumar in Bhool Bhulaiyaa

It is raining comedies at the box office and humour specialist Priyadarshan’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” that releases Friday falls in the same genre. But this time he is also offering a mix of science and mysticism.

He has roped in Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav along with Shiney Ahuja, Vidya Balan and Amisha Patel to add some fun and frolic.

The film revolves around a US-based couple Siddharth Chaturvedi (Shiney Ahuja) and Avni (Vidya Balan), who are visiting their family in India. The newly weds receive a warm welcome. But when Siddharth insists on staying on in his royal ancestral mansion, it upsets his relatives, especially his uncle Badrinarayan Chaturvedi (Manoj Joshi), who openly voices his disapproval.

Despite the opposition, Siddharth, ignorant of a secret that has destroyed the family for generations, moves into the haunted mansion with Avni. Initially, everything is normal but gradually mystery, shock and surprises start greeting them at every step.

Scientifically inclined, Siddharth ignores it at first, but the mysterious incidents are hard to neglect, so he decides to solve them with the help of his friend Aditya (Akshay Kumar).

A doctor by profession, Aditya is known for his eccentric ways and unpredictable nature. He agrees to help Siddharth and flies down to India to probe the mysterious occurrences in the mansion.

Batukshankar Upadhyay (Paresh Rawal), Radha (Amisha Patel) and Chhote Pandit (Rajpal Yadav) constantly hinder his work and create confusion. But Aditya manages to get to the bottom of the matter.
